The impact of visual communication, the idea of other worlds beyond our own, and the feeling of connection with people is my motivation for doing what I do.
I have a background in freelancing as an illustrator and graphic designer and this summer I will graduate from the Design Lead program at Hyper Island. My biggest wish from studying Design Lead was to get a framework for how to structure creative processes when working in a team. The past year has given me insights and tools for team alignment, ideation, project management, user-centered design, psychologically safe group dynamics, agile working methods and much more. To me, that means that the framework I was looking for has now taken shape, and I’m looking forward to it being a forever shifting construction site throughout my career.
I have a long previous experience in the field of social work – in close-knit teams where open communication is key. I am a firm believer in the importance of cross-industry thinking, and I really enjoy reflecting upon what that experience means in a creative setting.
Creating an understanding for each other’s perspectives and always staying curious is to me essential both for successful team dynamics and for creating good design.
